Terms of Service

1. The service

Traceable, operated by Abstract Studio, lets you wrap a document or URL in a trackable link and see privacy-preserving analytics about when it is opened. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Keep access to your email secure — anyone with your magic link can sign in.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Traceable to:

• Share content you don't have the right to share, or that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious (malware, phishing, scams).
• Track people unlawfully, covertly, or in violation of applicable privacy laws (including the GDPR and DPDP Act). You are responsible for having a lawful basis to track your recipients and for any notice or consent they are owed.
• Harass, deceive, or surveil individuals, or build profiles of named people without a lawful basis.
• Probe, overload, scrape, or attempt to break the security or rate limits of the service.
• Resell or white-label the service without our written permission.

4. Your content & data-protection role

You retain ownership of the files and links you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service. For the analytics you collect about your recipients, you act as the controller / data fiduciary and Traceable acts as your processor; you are responsible for complying with the law toward those recipients. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Availability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability and may suspend or limit the service for maintenance, security, or abuse prevention.

6. Disclaimers & liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law gives you other rights.
